IS THIS CAN INSENSITIVE OR DISPARAGING OF BLACKS??
As some of you are aware, there seems to be somewhat of a controversy about a picture that is currently on the can of Arizona ( Southern Style ) Sweet Iced Tea. I have my own opinion about the picture on the can but I will reserve it for now. I want to hear from you about what YOU think about the picture on the can and if the picture warrants boycotting the company that is using it. Please be as specific as possible. HERE IS THE "INFAMOUS PICTURE":

Honestly, I don't even see why this has come into question. I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Maybe you can explain to me what I'm missing.
maybe the white ancestors represented by the white couple holding hands on the porch remember slavery and plantations with a fond sense of nostalgia but for the ancestors represented by the black "aunt jemima" image portrayed on that can the memories evoked are not quite as pleasant...There is no way with as many benchmarks and checks and with the supposed savviness that marketers have that this was an oversight or no one at that company "thought" of this...which leads me to belive this was intentional
